Urban Planner | Intern
Edmonton, Alberta

Mason decided to pursue a career in Urban and Regional Planning with the intention of helping to shape communities into livable, and sustainable places which foster well-being and community integration. Growing up in Edmonton, Mason has observed how Edmonton has changed throughout the years and is excited to be working in such a growing and changing planning environment.

Mason is pursuing a BA Urban and Regional Planning degree with a minor in Economics at the University of Alberta. Working at GSA has allowed Mason to gain a diverse range of experiences early in her career and has inspired her to pursue further learning in topics such as urban design and development. Mason has gained experience in facilitating engagement events, creating engaging and user-friendly policy documents, policy writing and developing visual graphics to convey planning policy and outcomes.

Outside of work, Mason is the Vice President of Finance for the Geography and Planning Students’ Society – a group that acts to integrate and advocate for students pursuing education in the fields of Geography and Planning.
