Project Description
GSA worked as a planning sub-consultant to planningAlliance to complete the final revisions and approval process for the Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and the Land Use Bylaw (LUB) for Lac Ste. Anne County. GSA principal Dnyanesh Deshpande previously led this project from proposal writing stage to day-to-day project management while working at planning Alliance.

We established four policy areas for this project, which were developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process. Special emphasis was placed on aligning the policy framework in the MDP with regulations in the LUB. Both the MDP and LUB documents are custom designed to be user-friendly for citizens and municipal administration. Some of the key issues addressed in the LUB include the creation of new Country Residential Districts, updated administrative regulations, new definitions of use classes, and development regulations.
