Project Description:
GSA worked with Big Lakes County and the Town of High Prairie to develop their Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP). GSA assisted the County and Town in preparing a vision and guiding policies to manage future growth in the lands along their shared borders. The purpose of the IDP is to ensure that there is a common agreement and vision in place to guide the future development and use of land within the intermunicipal fringe area. The IDP also provides opportunities to address community concerns, share resources, and establish a framework for ongoing consultation and cooperation in areas of mutual concern and interest.
GSA led an extensive public consultation process that involved open houses, interactive workshops, and surveys. The development of the IDP was informed by public input gathered during the project.
