Project Description
GSA team is currently assisting the City of Edmonton on this prestigious urban revitalization project located just north of Edmonton’s downtown. We are part of a multi-disciplinary team of consultants and providing our expertise as lead urban designers for this project.
Key project tasks include design and delivery of extensive public consultation initiatives, undertaking comprehensive urban design analysis of Central McDougall and Queen Mary park neighboourhoods, preparing a high level urban design vision, establishing priorities for potential public realm improvements and preparing design concepts for project implementation. Our approach to analysis will put a strong emphasis on local issues such as high crime rate, CPTED, identity and safety concerns within the area.
This Urban Design Analysis project is intended to act as a prototype for future urban design projects in the City of Edmonton
