Project Description: GSA was part of a multi-disciplinary team of consultants preparing a comprehensive urban design analysis document for Eastwood and Elmwood Park neighbourhoods. We served as the lead urban designers for this project.
Key project tasks include assistance with the delivery of extensive public consultation initiatives, undertaking comprehensive urban design analysis, preparing a high-level urban design framework, establishing priorities for potential public realm improvements and preparing design concepts for project implementation.
Our approach to analysis puts a strong emphasis on local issues including traffic, connectivity, lighting, safety, placemaking, and open spaces. Special emphasis is placed on empowering communities and incorporating their input into the preferred neighbourhood vision.
